Meet The Principal

My name is Charity Eugea, and I am very excited to be a part of the EAC team. I hold my Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Masters and Bachelors' degrees in Elementary Education. I spent 16 years as a teacher in the Waterloo School District in the fifth, third, and second grades. I loved every minute of it. There is just something about being a part of a child's learning journey, seeing them grow and learn, that makes even the toughest of days worth it, and I am excited to be a part of your Eagle's learning journey this year.

Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." What a powerful and immense responsibility that is. I am ecstatic to be a part of that responsibility with you, your student(s), and the incredible team of educators at Evansville Attendance Center.

My husband, Derek, and I live in Waterloo with our two kids, Grant (16) and Makenah (13), and our fur babies, Amarok and Winston. Derek is a network consultant and owns his own business. Grant is a junior at WHS. He plays soccer year-round and tennis in the spring (which he later told us was to avoid running track...haha). Makenah is an eighth grader at WJHS. She also plays soccer and tennis year-round. In my few spare minutes of free time, I love reading, traveling, and puzzles, and I have taken up cycling and kickboxing.

I am honored and excited to be a part of the EAC team. I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you and your student(s), and working together to change the world together.

School & Home Connections

I believe it takes a team approach to ensure the best possible education for our students, so a home-school connection is a priority at EAC. In addition to the website, remember to check our EAC Facebook page frequently to see what is going on in the Eagles' Nest, as well as read our monthly newsletters carefully. Each classroom teacher sends home a weekly newsletter, and many maintain ongoing communication via a webpage or communication app. I keep an open-door policy at EAC, and I highly encourage parents to call, e-mail, or visit the school to communicate with teachers and administration.  Thank you for partnering with us to ensure your child is successful.
