Meet The Principal

My name is Charity Eugea, and I am very excited to be a part of the EAC team this coming school year. I have spent the last 16 years as a teacher in the Waterloo School District in the fifth, third, and second grades. I have loved every minute of it. There is just something about being a part of a child's learning journey, seeing them grow and learn that makes even the toughest of days worth it. Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." What a powerful and immense responsibility that is. I am ecstatic to be a part of that responsibility with you, your student(s), and the incredible team of educators at Evansville Attendance Center.

My husband, Derek, and I live in Waterloo with our two kids, Grant (15) and Makenah (12), and our husky, Amarok. Derek is a network consultant and owns his own business. Grant just finished his freshman year of high school and got his driving permit. He plays soccer year-round and has recently taken up tennis (which he later told us was to avoid running track...haha). Makenah just finished her first year in junior high as a sixth-grader. She also plays soccer year-round, basketball in the winter, runs track in the spring and has decided to follow in her big brother's footsteps and play tennis. In my few spare minutes of free time, I love reading, traveling, puzzles, binge-watching shows, have taken up cycling, and even jumped on the family tennis bandwagon to play against the kids and Derek.

I am honored and excited to be a part of the EAC team. I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you and your student(s), and working together to change the world together.

Evansville Express

The Evansville Express is a monthly newsletter that I send home to communicate with my families.  Click on a link below to see what we are up to at the EAC!

School & Home Connections

In addition to my monthly newsletter, updates are posted to the EAC Facebook page frequently.  Each classroom teacher sends home a weekly newsletter, and many maintain ongoing communication via a webpage or communication app.  Please check Facebook and your child's communication folder each day.  I keep an open-door policy at EAC, and I highly encourage parents to call, e-mail, or visit the school to communicate with teachers and administration.  Thank you for partnering with us to ensure your child is successful.
